The Perfect 4P Mix

The Perfect 4P Mix

Thanks to competitive prices, an amazing distribution network, a huge range of products and awesome promotion!!  Budweiser is one of the most important and recognized beer brands in the world.

They achieve what they want and in this case they have 34% control of domestic beer sales in US

What is different in their Ads?

Budweiser has always sponsored different sports. One important point is obviously the beer is for adults!! but this brand never forgets The Family.
I think this brand is one of the few beer brands whose ads are family oriented all their ads included animals, all the family enjoy it!

Budweiser always surprises us with innovative advertising which reminds in our memories...

One of the most successful campaigns was
                                                       #BestBuds #SuperBowl2015

Budweiser’s #BestBuds campaign was the standout campaign of 2015 sponsors of the Super Bowl. This brand mixed idyllic pictures of America country with a little melodrama which involves a cute Labrador puppy and beautiful horse.

#BestBuds has more than 30 million views and ranking at #1 with 1,907,288 shares on Facebook and Twitter.

"TOMS" -Amy-

Most of you guys know TOMS but did someone ever talked about their amazing Marketing Campaigns?

The TOMS Story

In 2006, TOMS Founder Blake Mycoskie witnessed the hardships faced by children growing up without shoes while he was traveling in Argentina. He wanted to help them, so he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a new pair of shoes for a child. One for One.. The simple idea has evolved into a powerful business model that helps health, education and economic opportunity for children and their communities around the world.

I’d like to introduce successful marketing campaigns of TOMS.

1. Create Your Own

They provide a chance to design your own shoes through their website, Facebook. You just need to message with your design, size and send cash. ($40 per pair of shoes.) You can get your own shoes which make you feel special.

2.    Campaign with Instagram

Each year, TOMS encourages people to go barefoot for all or part of one day in an effort to increase awareness about the need for shoes. In 2015, they had unique campaign with Instagram. It was just one day which is to post a photo of your barefoot on your Instagram with the hashtag #withoutshoes, and TOMS. They wanted to give everyone an opportunity to “do something good without having to buy.” The implicit message is that the company wants a lot of people to raise awareness for children's health and education.

By doing this, most of people would know that company is called moral enterprise with buying shoes. Also, the important thing is that people can participate in donating by buying shoes they want.

Why are you hesitating?

Have a break , Read this article

HI, there :-)
Recently I've been busy and sometimes I need some snacks to move my body.
At that time, I always have a Kit Kat

By the way...
Do you know what Kit Kat is ?

Yes, This is Kit Kat
AND
I'm pretty sure that almost everybody have eaten this snack when you're child or even now.
Today I'm going to introduce a little bit about Kit Kat unique marketing

Let's start!

Kit Kat is launched by Nestle, which is one of the biggest food company in the world, in 1938
As you already know, nowadays Kit Kat is really famous chocolate snack

You can see this snack in every supermarket or convenient store
and
The price of this isn't so expensive
so
you can get this one easily :-)

Actually, these elements are the keys to success of marketing
Nestle focuses on the convenient place where consumers can buy every time and every day

BUT
Do you know Nestle send to Kit Kat to the space in 2012?
And
This event is called "Moment Marketing"
This is the one of big event for Nestle
also
They understood how digital tools are useful to share an Idea

IN 2012...
Felix Baumgartner , who is an Australian daredevil, planned to do skydiving from
THE STRATOSPHERE(which is more than 20 miles above the surface of the earth)
but He had to put off the date of skydiving because of the bad weather several times

At that time
Kit Kat decided to offer him some moral support with a humorous Facebook post :
"It could be long wait Felix... have a break, have a Kit Kat "

Then
"The post was an instant viral success and we didn't want it to stop there"
said Nestle.

After all
Kit Kat attached a GoPro and a weather balloon was sent to the space by Nestle
while Felix was waiting the good weather
The footage was uploaded on Youtube and it quickly spread across Facebook and Twitter
with the hashtag
  #BreakFromGravity

As a result...
Facebook: more than 6.5 million views
Twitter: 10 million impressions

Do you think This marketing is cool?:D

That's all for today, Thank you mates:-)

JUST DO IT

Have you heard this slogan?
I have heard in Japan since I was 10 years old and I liked the sound. Just do it is sounds cool isn’t it.

Today I’m going to talk about the “Just do it” campaign. “Just do it” is a slogan that NIKE has made to advertise their product and encourage us to beyond the limits.

They put this sentence on T-shirts, towels and so on.

This campaign has started in 1988. At the advertising meeting, Dan Wieden who is the founder of Wieden+Kennedy agency suggest using it. As a result, their share of the North American domestic sport-shoe business has increased enormously from 18% to 43%.Worldwide sales have boosted from $877 million to $9.2 billion in 10 years. In this advertisement, variety of professional athletes such as Roger Federer who is my favorite player, Rafael Nadal and some other professional stars have appeared in commercial advertisement. I like this way to advertise because audiences can enjoy the commercial which a lot of superstars from each major sports appear. And this is one of the biggest reason why "Just do it" campaign succeeded I guess.

If there is someone who can't decide to do something, just do it!!
See you later.

Business Strategy of BILCOM's "Breath Mints"

BILCOM is one of Japanese firms which has supplied breath mints products called "FRISK" since 10 years ago. Their campaign to enhance their customers awareness was quite unique, which they gifted just one customer such fresh experiences. After the candidates tweeted "FRISK" on Twitter, the only person was selected from them.

The experiences were following.

1. Give a lift by limousine to prizewinner's office or destination
2.Give unlimited bottles of champagne in limousine
3.Give live music by a violinist in limousine

This is just such amazing experiences, isn't this??

Consumers need stories!!

Background

I'd like to introduce about 2 major multi-national coke companies’ campaigns, Coca-Cola and Pepsi co. The chart below shows that how many percentages they accounted for in Coke market in 2011. Don't be surprised. Amazingly 7 of 10 cokes in the world were Coca- Cola and Pepsi co in 2011.

What did make the advertisements unique?

The source that I found this advertisement was social media. The video was talking about top 10 funniest advertisements in the world. Some people criticized this advertisement for aggressive marketing, but for the others, they are really impressed at this kind of new approach to the customers.

Anyway, among those advertisements, I was really blown away by one Pepsi advertisement. It intrigues me to look for their relationships, and I did it, indeed. As a result of finding more advertisements of them, I found not boring advertisements, but stories. In my opinion, this aspect differentiates their campaigns from any other companies. These TV commercials directly shows their relationship as competitors. Let's have a look.

As you know, both companies are each company’s major competitor, so they can’t help concerning each other’s marketing strategy, especially on their TV commercials. Luckily, to the customers like me we can enjoy and have a lot of fun through it.

Comments

I would like to introduce the comments after seeing theses advertisements, as well. Carlos Aguilar said "Super funny!!! Love these marketing campaigns! Consumers love a little bit of drama. Which also induces word of mouth and strengths loyalty!" , and Man Leo said " I like both Coca and Pepsi."

I am looking forward to finding more this kind of advertisements.

What is the seacret of the Nivea cream?

What is the most famous and popular cosmetic cream in the world?

Nivea is a German international skin care company. The company was launched in 1882, and now one of the world's most modern research centres for innovative and high-quality cosmetic products.

As you may know, the trademark "Nivea" become famous around the world after World War II. Nivea comes from the Latin word, meaning 'snow-white'.

In Japan, the Nivea cream has become famous recently. We could see this blue can at every pharmacy stores in Japan. They said the ingredients of this cream are same as an expensive one which celebrities use such as models, Hollywood stars and singers.

Do you know how the Nivea market the cream and other products? What was their unique or unusual campaigns?

Surprisingly, their promotion has started since 1980s. At first, they distributed free samples with fashion magazines. Later on, the company used other tools; radio, TV, media advertisements.

Here is the good examples for their unique campaigns.

1. Nivea for men
They produced a specific cosmetic product for men, NIVEA FOR MEN. The company analyzed that not only men but also women are important target for this product. Because they sometimes purchase male products for their partners, husbands and sons. The sales rates are still stable since the launch of this male cream.

2. Nivea combination with apps
The smartphone is now necessary device for our lives. The company created a unique kids app using an advert to protect kids from sun. The paper-based adverts is enable you to check to dictate an area outside of which the child cannot stay. Because of this app, a lot of parents feel they are being helped a lot. It was the greatest campaign from the Brazilian advertising agency FCB. This campaign received awards.

I think this unique marketing catch multi generations customers. To be honest, I have not tried the Nivea cosmetic products. Maybe, should I try those ones since I have lived in New Zealand? What do you think, Kaplan students?

Marketing campaign " Open Happiness "

Marketing campaign

Coca-Cola " Open Happiness "

Open Happiness is a global marketing campaign for The Coca-Cola Company that was rolled out worldwide in the first half of 2009, following the company's "Coke Side of Life" advertising campaign It was developed by either the McCann-Erickson or the Wieden + Kennedy creative agency

1- Music plays a central role in the campaign. The first Open Happiness song was initially featured in a television commercial for the American market.

2-  Advertisement on TV
3- Photo

4-  Billboard

5- Social

Initial sales figures suggest the shift has paid off. Data from IRI shows that total Coca-Cola value sales across its variants were up in the UK by 1.46% year on year to £480.3m for the 20 weeks to 18 July (the period during which the strategy has been in place). Meanwhile, main rival Pepsi saw total sales drop 8.4% to £161.7m.

It was successful.
I think it was a powerful global campaign and nobody never seen any things about this campaign.

iPhone 6

Apple Incorporation is a multinational company that evolved the concept about computers, softwares and mobile phones. Their principal products are iPhone, iPad, iPod and Macintosh, this company were created by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak on April 1976.

In the most recent iPhone campaigns " Shot on iPhone 6", the team responsible for the marketing , they create a special page on website titled World Gallery, where they want shows  some photographs taken by iPhone 6 users.  Instead of contracting artists, that was a fantastic idea, because they create a closer relation with their customers.

That campaign receive a plenty of pictures, one of the featured artists, was the photographer Julian Bialowas,  in which his work  was recognised on an Apple billboard around the world as well in the North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and East Asia.

In relation the effect this campaign to the company is  every day  people take more photo with iPhone than with other camera. Consequently, more people are buying iPhones  than another brand, these bring more profit to the company.

In my opinion was a successful advertisement because every day more and more people want change their mobile phones and the first brand they think is in iPhone.

Evian® Natural is a famous brand of Mineral Water with a unique mineral balance. In 1878, the French Medical Academy officially recognized evian® Natural Mineral Water’s favorable effects on human health. “You can enjoy its naturally pure and refreshing taste anywhere, any time.”

They got an excellent idea for marketing. Rémi Babinet, BETC’s chairman and global creative director said "The babies are an essential part of Evian’s culture and history”. They wanted and special and new campaign, They thought in a commercial on TV in a dozen countries including France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, the U.K., and the U.S., “we thought it would be fun to let the babies meet their adult selves, and figured a reflection in a mirror would be the perfect way to do this. The encounter becomes a symbol for the vision of youth that Evian represents: a positive attitude and an open mind, even when it comes to the unexpected."  Also, they developed a free "Baby & Me" app for Facebook, Android, and iPhone that uses advanced facial recognition software to reveal the user’s baby face.

"Baby & Me" is the latest installment in Evian’s "Live Young" creative strategy, which has ranged from "Waterbabies," BETC’s first TV work for the brand, featuring an Esther Williams-inspired baby water ballet, to the 2008 spot "Rollerbabies," which, according to the Guinness Book of Records, became the most viewed online ad ever with almost 250 million views. It was a big hit on social media!! The campaign allowed people to meet their 'inner baby' increasing campaign engagement. Sales volume and market share rose in all markets, with improved brand metrics and 130 million views globally.

Johnsons'-catch- kids' campaign
The marketing campaign which is going to be analysed is from Johnsons & Johnsons.
Johnsons’ campaign in Brazil has worked at the same background over a couple of years: basically kids having fun on their shower time and using Johnsons’ product, here specifically the shampoo.
This campaign has been very successful, since kids evoke in adults kind of sympathy and call their attention to their cuteness. Also, the song is very catchy and fun.
The unusual thing is that I've never seen such involving and cute commercial for kids like that, so it also calls kids’ attention and makes them memorize the songs. As a part of merchandising, the kid is going to be the main means of communication by singing the songs and insisting to their parents to get one of those shampoos.

Happiness

Hello everybody. How’s it going? Today I would like to show an interesting marketing campaign which has been done by Coca-Cola. This is one of the greatest campaign of “Roll Out Happiness” campaign. The company is looking to make everyday life a little less gray with a new video.

The video is hosted on the company’s YouTube page and features a Coca-Cola truck rolling out a plot of grass in an area surrounded by buildings. Suddenly, trees and a Coca-Cola machine pop up, attracting the attention of people passing by. In front of the Coca-Cola machine is a sign that says, “To open happiness, take off your shoes.” Once visitors take off their shoes, free bottles of Coca-Cola begin to pop out of the machine, attracting more attention. As the video zooms out, it becomes clear that the grassy area is shaped like a Coke bottle.

The video is simple and looks fun, and it tells a visual story of happy summer memories like a picnics, outdoors etc… Using the word “grey” in different languages makes the video international.

As you see people who experience the event, there is happiness, and everybody smiles. “Where Will Happiness Strike?” it is a surprising element of the campaign as everybody could experience it! It also makes the viewer think “I wish I was there”
Cheers

Senador Volstead Beer

The brief was to launch a new beer and have it to be choose instead of the usual one and tasted by new consumers in a very competitive market with huge brands. The strategy was to focus on consumers that aren´t very loyal to only one beer brand, and make them curious about tasting this new beer.

92 years after Senator Volstead, a man who woke once up with a bad mood and decided to start 1920 the prohibition in America. The Senador Volstead beer was created in Spain, with the theme of prohibition. Is there a better way to market the product then by disguising it like in the 1920's?

NO!

First thing to do: Serve it like in times of the prohibition, at hidden places.

The second idea was to create a hidden place online. It's one website hidden inside another. How else would you disguise your website if it was 1920's? Granted, the Internet wasn't there to this time. You can hide a thing in many ways, they decided it to disguise it as a teddy bear shop.

When you visit the website firstly you only see the teddy bear shop. But then...

...the website gives you a hint. The only thing to do is change the size of your window. After a few seconds you'll come to their secret website. It's magic.

I think this is pretty amazing to market a product on a way like this. So that nobody can see your product. It' s a very brave step of the company to do it like this. There are many marketing campaigns in the world, but you may remember only a few. but a think like this you can't forget. You need the right method stick your product in mind of your costumers. They think it's not just about the product it's about creating a new experience.

And finally how can you forget a brand that used the prohibition theme to market their product?

YOU CAN'T

APPLE WATCH

Apple watch ,,personal campaign"

Watch is the most personal device what people wearing and what we ever created said CEO Tim Cook .What he didn t say was that it is also the premminent platform for behaivour disgn. Apple knows very well users for their items  {iphon, mac, and other }  the  time  when all users and journalist waited  release of new iphon 6 , Tim Cook  in the end of presentation surprised all with new Apple watch …

You can do almost anything from your wrist with the new Apple Watch.

What slogan apple used:

- Our most personal device yet. describes how much personal the Apple Watch was (in late 2014)

- There’s an Apple Watch for everyone." was a slogan that promoted the three types of Apple Watch  Apple Watch   - Sport, and Apple Watch Edition in late 2014.
- Innovation in every interaction." was used in late 2014 to promote the Apple Watch technology.
- All watches tell time. This one helps you make the most of it." was used in late 2014 to tell about the Apple               watches features
- Start a whole new kind of conversation." described the Apple Watch's Messages app
- Live a better day" advertised the Apple Watch's health features

The company clearly thinks it has a market winning product however, and Apple's Kevin Lynch demonstrated a host of the launch apps on-stage during the show. These included a look at the Glances feature, which enables wearers to read full notifications on their wrist, as well as jump into full versions of apps including social media giants Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Can Apple Disrupt the Luxury Watch Market?

After the initial shock and awe wore off when Apple announced its eye-popping price point for the gold version of its smartwatch – $10,000 to start – speculation turned to which industry and/or industries such a watch would disrupt.

The fitness wearable industry comes to mind first, but then it’s hard to imagine who would wear a $10,000 watch for a sweaty workout. The cheaper versions, though, would work nicely as a disruptor in this space.

But Tim Cook’s goal is much higher than that [selling cheaper      watches to tech aficionados]. It’s not just the reinvention of the smartwatch category, it is the disruption and potential domination of the luxury watch industry that Cook will seek to challenge during 2015.

Was  campaign successful ??

None of us  can't say anything .. We will see during the year 2015

How can we reach a successful result on marketing?

Media has a huge influence on marketing. Nowadays, we are exposed a lot of media such as social network services, internet, television and even papers, they are not as quite popular as before though.

Social Media

Definition of marketing is the management process through which goods and services move from concept to the customer. It consists of four elements.
     1      .       Products
     2      .       Price
     3      .       Place
     4      .       Promotional strategy

In this post, I will say social media marketing and street marketing. Social media was made and it have been used for marketing less than 10 years, of course it is just short time than the history of marketing, however, the influence on market is the biggest.

Firstly, you might know some internet chat programmes. Among them, Chatroulette was established in 2009. It was not as famous as now, so they organised a live show with an extemporized pianist known as Merton.

After that, he uploaded the video on Youtube, his rate in Youtube recorded the highest and also Chatroulette became one of the most famous chat programme. At that time, it was not very common way of marketing.  It was completely new challenge in marketing because at that time it was just first step of social media marketing. Because of this reason, they was able to succeed in getting an enormous fame.

Secondly, this example is street marketing. Also nearly 5 years ago, worldwide automotive company Volkswagen made an experiment on the road. The campaign name was The Fun Theory. Usually the purpose of marketing is making a good impression on their product or their brand value such as price, technology or sales. However, in this case they installed speed camera on the road, and they estimated the speed of vehicles. If the velocity of car is less than 25mph, the driver can take part in the lottery, so they lowered the average speed on the road 11mph. Therefore, Volkswagen led to reducing the speed, and emphasising the importance of safety and environment. Volkswagen could make a marvellous advertisement or sponsor some famous sports team, but they chose more familiar way to public.

In conclusion, it means that the important things are one is familiar with public, another is making the difference not same as other marketing.

Sensation's Marketing Strategies

The Sensation Music Venue

Sensation is one of the biggest global music venues all over the world.
It takes place in Amsterdam, Prague, New York, Dubai, Johannesburg, Bologna, Moscow and many more cities around the globe.

It’s considered one of the more exclusive EDM music events  every year.
The main marketing strategy is to project very positive image of being part of something special and exclusive and unique.

The dress code for the event is total white, as a part of the same very experience of pure sound and soul awareness.

Long before the event, they begin to apply different selling strategies and offer different ways of selling you not only a ticket - but the entire experience.

Initially at very restricted group of members they sell travel packets, which may include exclusive transfer from the airport, some special gifts at the hotel arrival, VIP transportation to the event, VIP entrance and very exclusive and strategic position inside the venue.
After this initial period, they begin to sell tickets with differentiate targets and price tag.

  • General Entrance
  • Deluxe
  • Deluxe with dinner

During this stage, organizers create hype about the event trough emails, social media and websites. The marketing objective at this stage of the marketing strategy is to sell-out within hours from the announcement, once the selling on to the large public begins.

The best part of this venue is that it is really, really unique music experience. Usually there are more than 30k people all together, and the quality and the attention to every detail of the venue - the stage, the organisation and the line-up with the best World DJs is simply astonishing. The quality pays very well. For those that love the EDM is one of the best experiences.

Sensation`s organizers also sell a lot of merchandise, promoting new music and alternative genres. They main strategy is to offer a high quality experience at a higher price, because of the quality linked to the emotions.

It happened that in countries than are been heated by the economic crisis and won’t sell out, they cancelled the event, in order to keep the brand high positioned.

I've been at the event different times and, in my opinion, one of the best themes was `The source of lights`. It was really astonishing experience.
