We are studying English now. Why are we
studying English? Because, it is the most useful language in the world. English
has the second large of speakers and which is spoken by largest number of
countries. More than 100 countries are spoken English and there are official standard
to use which international document like passport, etc…
We chose second language that is English, but now, I want to say how
to choose third language. First of all, it is important to consider not only
the population of language speakers, but also the geographic distribution of
these languages. Some languages have
large populations of native speakers but are used almost a few countries. On the other hand, other languages have small
populations of native speakers but are used in many different countries as an
official or national language. For instance, Chinese has the largest number of
speakers, which is more than one billion, but just 5 countries are accepted for
official or secondary language. In contrast, French has slightly over than 250
million however it is used in 35 countries.
Secondly, each language give you different challenging level. For example,
Korean and Japanese are quite similar. If you know Korean or Japanese, it
depends on person, but it takes less than any other languages. Because, there
have same grammar system and vocabulary, which has a bit difference
pronunciation. On contrary, if they try to learn English, French, Spanish, etc,
are kind of challenging menu. But it is different for English users. It could
be challenging Korean and Japanese.
The last one is motivation. You should push yourself to motivate and
positive to learn the language. If you are in pessimistic you never get to the
goal. Enjoy the study and get a passion. Just keep going, you can do it!
